Synopsis:
The Tem-Space
Variant
The Tem-Space Variant series began after the 3rd novel in the "Lost Planet Trilogy", Day of the Mystikon was completed in 1994. It was inevitable after it was discovered that Madkro's temporal displacement had resulted in changes in reality that only he appeared fully aware of, while the rest of humanity appeared completely unaware. Reality-changes, for Madkro, became another fact of a much greater universe which the Martians had opened him up to. The other unavoidable factor was Lisa, the girl he had lost due to the original temporal manipulations in 1975. To know all the details and understand the complexity of the situation, one would have to read the "Lost Planet Trilogy" and have a fair comprehension of the "multiverse". Tsv-01, "Catch-98" documents one of the first major reality-changes of Madkro, one in which he has established another pseudonym for himself and is somewhat of an accomplished scientific journalist specializing in space-technology and possessing somewhat of an above average IQ about outer space and astrophysics. This knowledge came from his expereinces with the Martians and Ron Querzo during the "Lost Planet" scenarios (1-3). For the most recent updates to this site, see this page. Contents
Tsv-01: Catch-98: Unfortunately, the main body of the files for this novel were lost due to a floppy-disk malfunction and it may be some time before the hard-copies are rescanned and saved to electronic disk again. Until that time, the section reserved for "Catch-98" will be seriously lacking. Sorry, but these things sometimes happen. Tsv-02: The Illusive R-Wing: Taking up where he left off in the mountains, Madkro still has his sites set on developing a new form of space-going vehicle and secretly seeks a way to make it happen by allying himself with one of the best organizations in the world. Unfortunately, there are other less friendly characters determined to exploit him and his knowledge. Tsv-03: A Torn Earth is Terra: In a major setback, reality-wise, Madkro finds himself back in the state and area he grew up, pitted against local bullies, corrupt politicians and tycoons, who are using their corporate powers to destroy the little people without care, and after Lisa suddenly rejects him with violent repulsion, he activates a private little war against the local thugs and the government that protects them. Tsv-04: What's Stopping the Future?: This novel was begun with one major plan. To give Madkro the means to make things happen on a grand scale in a way he never did before. There are only about 10 pages so far, but plenty of content waiting. Give this one time. It will show up. It will give Madkro a chance to document his genius. Tsv-05: Alternatives: This novel was inspired by some of the best science-fiction stories i have ever read. The theme: Man falls through an accidental hole in space-time and lands in an alternate reality where the world and his life are utterly fantastic, like no other experience he has ever had, in a universe where history has paralleled the home-planet but includes some very interesting differences, including space-travel and a colony on Earth's Moon. Tsv-06: Empire America: This novel began as a direct result of the 9-11 tragedy and has only about 20 pages so far. It needs time. Tsv-07: Dream-World: A voyage into the distant future and one of the strangest realities that could ever evolve out of humanity's wayward course. Not yet complete, this is one of the longest novels ever tackled by this author, and one of the most intriguing. Tsv-08: Untitled: A sequel to Empire America and not a very nice vision of the future. Tyranny has made its new home in the USA and Madkro and his outcasts are the rebels holding the fort on the fringes of society, doing all they can to organize the down-trodden masses for a revolution to take back the country from the bad guys. Tsv-09: Untitled: Nothing much here yet but a few bits and pieces of a fragmented puzzle. Too early to park anything. This space for rent? Anything is possible, I suppose. For now, the space is vacant. |
