Updates:
November
22, 2006:November 19,
2007:
A short-story first published in Ntzeon #9 (August, 1997), has just been added. The Escape Clause is a story that has some very personal roots to it, even if it was woven into a very mystical science-fantasy. It's about an anyman character that writes his way out of purgatorial hell, and serves as somewhat of a sequel to Report for the Defense. October 29, 2007: I have finally managed to get the second novel of the Lost Planet Trilogy started. The first ten chapters of The 4D Earth War have just been added. October 25, 2007:
I have long been a serious critic of the distasteful confusion of science fiction with horror in video production, so i finally wrote a lengthy article on the subject.; The Element of Horror in Science Fiction Video Production. October
15, 2007:
People who consider me a shameless self-promoter, please read this page. September 24,
2007:
Been so busy with the animation project that very little else has been done for the site, save a few minor articles, such as a critical review of SG1, which I sincerely hope does not offend anyone, and a couple of movie reviews. The good news is that the animation project's pilot-episode is very nearly complete. For more on that, check the project updates. I have also changed the background color of the site from dark blue to black and will be uploading those changes in the near future, in case anyone notices. For those computers and/or browsers that are adjusted to display their own customized colors, the change may not be noticeable. In any case, I have made that technical change and all web-pages at this site in the future should reflect it. I should also point out that some errors in the sequence of pages to chapters 10, 11, and 12 of Alternatives were made earlier but should now be corrected. July 17, 2007:
I have just completed loading the final chapters of the Lost Planet (21 - 25) and have also added chapters 9 - 11 of Tsv-05, Alternatives. I've made significant progress with the animation project and now have another gallery of stills from the latest scenes as well as another preview video-clip. For more on this project, see this page. April 23, 2007:
Chapters 9 - 15 of Lpnet 3, Day of the Mystikon have finally been added. Lots of action developing, as Qz and Markins try to figure out what went wrong on AB3 Earth and Madkro reluctantly cooperates with the mysterious aliens. The short-story Time-Suit has also been added to Sci-shorts-300. April 4, 2007: Chapters 19 and 20 of the Lost Planet have just been added. March 20, 2007:
I've been very busy back at work with the animation project full-time, so all I have done with the website this month has been to add more video reviews, including the first 4 seasons of Stargate SG-1. March 1, 2007: Chapters 16 - 18 of the Lost Planet have been added. Querzo has some trouble with pirates, but also gains a wonderful companion. Despite the pirates, things are beginning to look better. Febuary 19, 2007:
I finally got around to posting the first 8 chapters of Tsv-05, Alternatives, after some uncertain trepidation. I had been planning to save it until the future time when the animation project became a more profitable enterprise, at which time I planned to include it in some kind of package deal, but because the project may take longer than anticipated, I decided not to hold off on it. Alternatives is perhaps one of the best novels I have written, so I hesitated to simply give it away for free. Oh well, now the first 8 chapters are out, anyhow. As for the project itself, it's been going slow due to a problem with software tools, details can be found on the update page. Febuary 12, 2007:
I have added a Video Reviews section that presently covers ST:TNG and will soon also cover ST:VGR and more, such as DS9, Stargate, Enterprise, and hopefully, Lexx and Farscape eventually. As a big fan of such sci-fi serials, i couldn't resist. January 14, 2007:
2 more chapters have been added to The Lost Planet, another book review, and an article I've been wanting to write about cable-tv and its future for some time. I have also added another page to Chapter 13 of The Lost Planet, "Contact with Mars", which was somehow missed during the last update. December 21,
2006:
A fourth preview video-clip for the Lost Planet animation project has been added to the anime section. Further details about it can be found at the anime section update page. Chapters 9 - 13 of the Lost Planet novel have been added and the pages have been revised and arranged after being previously neglected. Anyone that may have checked it out earlier may want to take note that extra pages for some chapters that were not linked before can now be linked to from the bottom of the pages. It should also be noted that the proper grammatic translation of the female alien has been corrected. That translation should read as T'rwani (pronouned Tir-wa-nee). December 14,
2006:
Six GIF short animation files made from frames from the Lost Planet series, episode one, part one, have been added to the gallery. The quality is not as high as the original .wmv clips in the anime section, but they only take a minute to download by du-modem and act as short previews of action from the series. A page which includes links to two Star Trek novels, not directly related to the Temspace series, by the same author, has been added to the Base-Zero folder, for anyone that might be interested in original Star Trek fan-fiction online. The novels are not at this site at this time, but were posted at Scifiminds.net before this site was created. December 2, 2006: Day of the Mystikon (Lpnet3) has been revised, edited, and made more legible so the first 8 chapters are now ready for anyone interested. New pictures have been added to the gallery. I have just added another preview video-clip to the animation section and added a book review section. November 15, 2006: Most recent updates include the short-stories, Report for the Defense, The Quarantine, and The Tour. New chapters have also been added to Lpnet3, Tsv-02 and Tsv-05. Tem-Space
