The short-stories included in this section are the most recent of my works, written somewhere after 1999 and 2000. Due to my concentration on the Tem-Space series and more recently, in 2004, my animation project, I haven't had much time for writing short-stories, but every now and then, when I think of a really good idea for a plot and scenario, I just can't resist it. Unlike my earlier obsession with desperation and fatalism, I have ventured into the exploration of areas inspired by my fascination with the infinite unknown and the Twilight Zone and Outer Limits to try my hand at concepts rarely explored by anyone before. Reality Man is the perfect example, as it takes a look at a mysterious man lost in a chaotic world with his only hope in a social worker who has the intelligence to understand more than the common citizen. The surprise ending to this one leaves the mind wondering about the vast infinity of the cosmos and all the possible dimensions unknown to lowly humans. Ghost-Wing Five takes a look at one of the most sophisticated computerized vehicles known to any civilization or planet as it mysteriously becomes accident prone and the technicians responsible for it have to solve the problem. This short-story is an introductory to a novel based upon the same concept which I began in 1995 and didn't get back to until 98 and 99. It is still in the works. I call it The Invisible Machine. Ghosts of Our Past is a time-tripper story about a reclusive inventor who accidentally gets tossed back in time to witness something historical during the early colonial period of the United States; something shocking that has been completely forgotten and remains unrecorded in the present, an event which has immense implications about the direction of the USA after the original fore-fathers were too old to hold on to the reins of power. |
