Tem-Space Variant 2: The Illusive R-Wing
ASC-logo
Introduction

One of the main taboos about time has always been, ‘Don’t change the past or you could destroy the future.' But what if the past had already been tampered with, and the result was an inevitable planetary destruction? This is the problem that the Temspace Variant series deals with, from the very beginning.

The ‘Illusive R-Wing’ is the second book in the Tem-Space Variant series and the fifth book following the original ‘Lost Planet’, which preceded the series. The ‘Lost Planet’ introduced the theoretical planet ‘Tranqua’, which, according to the theory, was the 5th terrestrial planet, after Mars, in ancient times. In the present time, following a catastrophe that predates Earth’s own recorded history, it is left in the fragments of stone known as the ‘asteroid belt’.

The Tem-Space Variant is a unique series, as it explores a dimension beyond space and time known as ‘tem-space’, which is ‘non-linear time’, and takes into account the existence of parallel universes, which include parallel Earths, parallel Mars, and parallel Tranquas, etc... It does this from the perspective of certain key main characters of the series; from Earth, Ron Querzo and Ren Madkro (the protagonists), from Mars, Exo and Xik (the antagonists). All these characters have access to temspace-transversers (time-space vehicles).

Unlike so many time-traveling stories of the science fiction realm, the protagonists are not solely preoccupied with preserving Earth’s recorded history, even though that is part of their job. In the second book of the Lost Planet Trilogy, The 4D Earth War, Querzo discovered that Earth’s history had been manipulated by the 2 Martian ‘time-travelers’ Exo and Xik, such that the present 20th and 21st centuries of Earth were to a great extent preceded by Martian intervention.

Even though Martian intervention had a direct influence on Earth’s historical status, including its technological developments  (especially in war-related science),  Querzo also faced the 21st century hard-reality that the Martians had also led civilization and the human race to its inevitable destruction due to a nuclear-winter after the ‘Third World War’.

This worst-case scenario,  covered by  ‘The 4D Earth War’,  moved Querzo to use his temspace-transverser to  change the history of Earth,  by counteracting certain  key time- periods which were manipulated by the Martians. All this temspace activity inevitably resulted in something known as the ‘tem-space variant’, which takes into account the factor of non- linear time and ‘tem-space’,  and includes an on-going conflict between  Earth and the powerful Martians, Exo and Xik.

In the ‘Illusive R-Wing’, Madkro and Querzo are involved with 2 main problems. One problem is the integration of certain  21st century technology that could open up  space-travel and space-colonies for the human race in a way far exceeding the crude methods of NASA. The second problem is with the Martians, Exo and Xik, who have selfish reasons for not wanting to share such technological advances with Earth, and are involved with dangerous projects which pose life-threatening problems for humanity and Earth.

Madkro’s position, in the TSV series, has become extremely hot after the ‘Catch-98’ scenario, due to his knowledge of the blue-book and the blue-print spex of the elusive ‘R-Wing’, the most top-secret stealth air-space vehicle in existence.

Throughout the series, corporations, nations, and thugs compete to gain access to his secrets, as he does his best to become as elusive as the R-wing itself. In ‘The Illusive R-Wing’, Martian temporal manipulations go too far when their meddling creates a temporal-causality loop that could send them through endless diverse cataclysms if not resolved somehow.
